USA.gov, the U.S. Government's Official web portal, is
offering its state-of-the-art search function free to all
federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial government
websites in the U.S. The USASearch.gov Affiliate Program
is designed to help citizens from all areas of the United
States find valuable government information and services
online, including:
- Government
documents from federal, state, local, tribal, and
territorial websites
- Images from
government libraries
- News from
federal agency RSS feeds
- Government
Frequently-Asked-Questions
- Congressional
contact information including House and Senate
- Government 800
numbers
- Federal forms
- Government jobs
- Special
spotlight items created by government editors
- And more
This summer, the improved
USASearch.gov Affiliate Program is being offered to
government agencies at all levels to help them provide
their constituents with easy access to government
information. Web managers can configure their own search
engine based on the USASearch.gov platform through a
simple administrative interface, allowing them to
customize the look and feel of the search engine and
enable/disable the USASearch.gov features that best fit
their needs. Additionally, web managers can create content
rich widgets out of search features and deploy them on
their websites.
The USASearch.gov
Affiliate Program includes:
- No
infrastructure cost for service and upgrades;
- Use of
industry-leading search technology;
- Access to over
50 million ad-free, trusted documents from federal,
state; local, tribal, and territorial governments;
- Easy on-line
management;
- Features such as
localization; and
- An online forum
for participating web managers (coming soon).
